Thanks to Ken Stephens & Steve Rohloff of Barry Bros Qld for their overwhelming offer of support. Barry Bros is the Waste Management & High Pressure Water Blasting company that had a water vac truck and 2 operators (Neil and Rob) on site first thing this morning (12th Jan – day after flooding) to get the remaining water out of our shop.
These guys worked relentlessly and didn’t stop til the work was done – a job that took most of the day.
In times like this, it is these major companies that offer their support that deserve what recognition we can give.

The Sewing Revolution
Come along and help us support Breast Cancer. We are holding a Morning Tea and Auction to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research on Friday 12th November – 9:30 – 12:30pm
Also presenting their new ruler will be Kym & Ann from The Sewing Revolution – so come along to see what’s new while also helping a good cause.
We will hold an Auction and provide Morning Tea while having some fun and games. Any assistance with Auction items would be greatly appreciated by 30th October to help us get prepared.
BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL FOR CATERING
Due to our special guests The Sewing Revolution– the day has been extended beyond original advertised time.
Both Ann and Kym from The Sewing Revolution contain an amazing passion for creativity. Add to this mix, the fantastic capabilities of modern embroidery machines and you have an innovative duo that work tirelessly together, coming up with new ideas and experimenting to gain the most out of their machines. From their experience in the sewing industry, Ann and Kym recognised this to be a common frustration among sewers so they set about trying to find an easy way to locate the centre point of circles and arcs when circular sewing.
Necessity is the mother of all invention, and as a pair of lateral thinkers and problem solvers, Ann and Kym put their heads together and came up with The Sewing Revolution. We have used and loved their products time and time again, in fact our September and October Club projects use one of our favourites – the Double Mitre Ruler.
We are thrilled to have them back in store – The Sewing Revolution girls always present a fun show!
Don’t miss the upcoming Sneak Peek Day!! Two sessions only this time to get a glimpse at the new class projects. Thursday 29th April is the day to keep free. The morning session starts at 9:30am with the evening commencing at 6pm.
This session we have a special guest speaker Betty Johnson who will be talking about her new book ‘Mrs Echidna’. We are sure that you will love her story.
So don’t forget to book early remembering that we have a limit to our numbers!! See you then!
The 2 Sneak Peek session are both now full…But even more of you are looking to squeeze into a place. In response to this we have added a third session to the day. We are now running a Thursday Evening Session that will run on the same day, 28th January, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm! These are absolutely the last places that we have left now, so please book to avoid disappointment. Speaking of disappointment, if you are interested in a class, but haven’t booked yet, get in now so that you won’t miss your place!
Response to our SNEAK PEEK MORNING (28th January)has been so HUGE that we have had to change it to a SNEAK PEEK DAY and we need your help!
In the 2 short weeks since we listed our Classes, we have had so many bookings for our Sneak Peek Morning that we can’t fit any more in.
To prevent people missing out on a place, and to make the day more comfortable for those who have already booked, we have decided to run 2 Sessions on the day – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The original session will remain 9.30am to 11.30am and we have added a new session in the afternoon: 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
To make seating more relaxed, we are looking for volunteers to move to from the morning to the afternoon. If you have already booked for the morning and can help us with this, please give us a call or send us a quick Email.
