Husqvarna VIKING Designer Diamond June Upgrade

Husqvarna constantly strives to improve and expand the capacity of its embroidery machines by offering on-going upgrades. Their latest upgrade version 8666-6176 for the Desinger Diamond, released this month, is their most impressive yet. Adding 32 features including an undo/redo function in embroidery edit, easier access to thread tension adjustment in sewing mode, and replacing the blank screen saver with the start-up screen in its general features. This month’s Diamond Club is dedicated to installing this upgrade, and then showing you how to use it. If you have a Diamond you are welcome to book into this month’s Diamond Club and do the upgrade with confidence. Also welcome to this month’s Diamond Club is the Desinger Ruby, also having its own upgrade, version 4106-6176.

Be Prepared . . .

Cut lining fabric into 2 pieces 35cm x 50cm.
Press the 2 lining pieces together with the double sided fusible pellon in between.
From the remaining lining fabric cut 2 bias strips 1 ½” wide.
Place these bias strips through the bias maker if comfortable. This can be done in class.

Be Prepared . . .

1.   To ensure you are prepared for the lesson cut all strips according to the above measurements in the requirements list.
2.   Thread an overlocker as a 4 thread standard overlock.
3.   Overlock the top long raw edge of all the scalloped strips (3”x20” strips). Also overlock the 2 short edges.
4.   Overlock all edges of the two 4”x20” strips.
5.   Overlock one short edge of the two 27”x20” pieces of linen. This will be the bottom of the towel.
