Floriani No Show Mesh

Floriani No Show Mesh

Short Description:
One of the most difficult problems with traditional cut away stabilizers is having the ugly square show through the light coloured fabrics. This problem is solved with No Show Nylon Mesh which is made of soft, sheet translucent embossed nylon. This versatile mesh does not require multiple layers, which adds bulk. It is invisible to the eye when viewed from the front.

Eliminate the need for messy spray adhesives and enjoy easier hooping of stretch fabrics by using the Fusible Version of this product in our other products list.

Floriani Cutaway

Floriani Cutaway

Floriani Cutaway Stabilizer is a 2 oz embroidery stabilizer. It is manufactured using a unique process called the “Delta Wet Laid Non-Woven” technique. The benefit of using this method of production is that Floriani Cutaway is very solid, when closely examined you will see no thick and/or thin spots. When used as an embroidery stabilizer, it is not necessary to use multiple layers in random directions to support stitches. Cutaways are ideal for fabrics that are considered un-stable; fabrics such as fleece, t-shirts, sweatshirts, polo knit, etc. Floriani Cutaway is a very soft yet solid stabilizer that will support medium to heavy stitch count designs.

  • Use on non-stable stretch fabrics
  • Will support a design density of about 14,000 stitches and well digitized.
  • Super soft feel makes it ideal for sweatshirts, fleece and sweater knits.
  • Available in a fusible version which eliminates the need for spray adhesives or basting.
  • Also available in black for dark fabrics or garments.

To use Floriani Cutaway:

  1. Cut a piece of the stabilizer at least one inch larger than the hoop size you are planning to use.
  2. Hoop the stabilizer to the wrong side of the fabric.
    Note!
If using the fusible version, use a low temp dry iron (260°, silk)to adhere to stabilizer to the back side of the fabric.
  3. Place the embroidery frame on the machine and complete the design.Note! If the design is denser than 14,000 stitches or if it is a poorly digitized design (too many stitches for the designs size), float an additional layer of Floriani Tearaway between the hoop and the bed of the machine for each additional 10,000 stitches for added support.
  4. Once the design is complete, remove the hoop and garment from the machine and trim the stabilizer close to the design. If you have fused the stabilizer to the garment, apply heat and then pull it to the designs edge before trimming.

Floriani Wet n Gone

Floriani Wet n Gone

Floriani Wet N Gone is a fibrous water soluble stabilizer and does a superior job of supporting dense designs. Embroider most free standing lace with just one layer! Floriani Wet N Gone’s clean rinse capability makes it the best choice when using it with delicate fibers such as yarn scarves or English netting. It is now available in a fusible as well as a sticky version.
*Use the fusible version on sheer fabrics such as organdy, organza, lame, sheer silks and more to establish a solid type fabric that is easier to hoop and embroider. Once the embroidery is complete, all the stabilizer rinses away and will not shadow through.
*Use the sticky version of Floriani Wet N Gone to embroider on hard to hoop items such as the corners of silk blouse collars, delicate handkerchiefs and more.

  • Create free standing lace and use just one layer for most designs
  • Perfect for making appliqués, decorative pins and/or 3-D embroidery.
  • Rinses clean leaving no messy residue
  • Use as a topping for wide satin stitch designs on high pile fabrics for perfect results!

To use regular Wet N Gone for free standing lace and/or embroideries:

  1. Hoop one layer of the stabilizer within the embroider frame. Try to achieve “tight as a drum” tension without stretching or distorting the stabilizer.
  2. Embroider the design.
  3. Remove the product from the hoop and trim away as much of the stabilizer as possible.
  4. Rinse away the Wet N Gone using luke warm water. *Tip – If your desire is to have the lace stiff, simply get the embroidery wet. Don’t rinse! Once it is wet, the stabilizer will be absorbed into the stitching and will dry stiff.

To use Wet N Gone Fusible:

  1. Fuse one layer of the stabilizer on to the back of the fabric. Be sure to use a piece at least one inch larger than the outer parameter of the hoop to insure proper stabilization.
    *Important
    - Use a low temp (260°, silk) setting on your iron. Do not touch the surface of your iron to the Wet N Gone Fusible, use a press cloth (muslin or cotton). Press quickly! It is not necessary to hold the iron to the fabric for more than three seconds.
  2. Repeat steps 2-4 from above.

To use Wet N Gone Tacky:

  1. Hoop one layer of the product in your embroidery hoop.
  2. Score the release paper with a pin or needle and peel back. Stick the garment or item to be embroidered in place and smooth out any wrinkles.
  3. Repeat steps 2 – 4 from above.

606 Spray and Fix – No-Sew Fusible Web

Spray and Fix 606 is a no-sew fusible web for appliqué quilting and papercraft.

This spray does not have an unpleasant odour and does not ‘gum up’ the needle. Used to adhere fabric permanently and it can also be used to laminate paper to fabric. The spray looks like a white powder (snow) when applied. The end result is the fabric being a little more rigid than using vliesofix, but this will be determined by the amount of spray applied.

Stitch n Shape

Stitch n Shape Info

Use for adding shape, form and/or dimension to tote bags, placemats, fabric bowls/boxes, hat brims, ornaments, paper dolls and more. This remarkable product will hold its shape after it is inserted between two layers of fabric. You can stitch or embroider directly through it. Items constructed with Stitch N Shape® can be laundered and then reshaped by steaming. Create unique picture frame mats by painting, stitching or embellishing directly on it.

Stitch N Shape® is available in regular non-fused, single side fusible and double side fusible.

*To fuse fabric to Stitch N Shape® Double or Single Side Fusible:

  1. Begin by laying a heat resistant product such as a Teflon pressing sheet or parchment paper on your ironing board. If using the Double Side Fusible version of Stitch N Shape®, this will prevent the heat from the iron coming through the product and fusing the Stitch N Shape® to your ironing board cover.
  2. Place decorative fabric on top of the Stitch N Shape® (wrong side to the fusible side) and press it in place using a small amount of steam and a medium temperature on your iron. Remember to press, don’t “iron”!
*Tip – Since you are using steam to set the bond between the fabric and the Stitch N Shape®, it is necessary to pre-shrink your fabric for optimal results.
  3. For Double Side Fusible, turn the Stitch N Shape® over and cover the exposed fusible side with the wrong side of the decorative fabric. Press using a small amount of steam once again.
  4. Begin construction of your project, with both fabrics permanently fused in place! Remember to stitch slowly for the best results. If doing embroidery, set your machine speed to 600 stitches per minute or less.
